Business Advantage

Any new business owners will appreciate knowing their utility billings vis a vis water and sewer will be charged on consumption. The village is moving in the proper direction in setting rates and thresholds for future expansion, replacement etc. Counsel's forward thinking will encourage business to locate here to take advantage of the new water system being developed. Businesses are encouraged to self monitor and manage their usage not rely on the hidden subsidy they are gaining from their neighbors through flat rate billing.

Sensible Solution

Water and Sewer like any utility should be charged for on a consumption basis. We don't get a base amount of electricity or natural gas for a base fee- we pay for what we use! It is our choice whether we conserve or not. Just make the rate reasonable.
